Coaching

This site also contains information about my work as a time management coach. I work with busy people who feel overwhelmed by all the responsibilities on their plates. During coaching, I help clients focus on what matters, become more efficient, and dial down on the stress. Find out more about time management coaching.

Exercise

My own personal time management challenge right now for time and energy management is exercise. I get very little, other than the walking that comes naturally due to taking the bus to most places I go. I would really like to be healthier, feel more energetic and also lose some weight. Exercise is a great way to accomplish all of those things. So what’s holding me back?

Some of it is finding time. Since I have a full-time job as well as my coaching business, I’m pretty busy. Finding time, though, as I tell my coaching clients, is generally a matter of choosing priorities.  So, why am I not making this a priority?

I think that my exhaustion at the end of the day is the deeper reason I haven’t gotten started. That tired feeling is one of those negatively reinforcing spirals: the feeling keeps me from starting to exercise, but if I actually were to start doing it consistently, the feeling would likely lessen or disappear. That hump period where I’m integrating the new habit and pushing through the most resistance will be the tough part So, I am renewing my commitment to exercise. I’ll be starting with an initial goal of 30 minutes a day at least 3 times a week. I’ll let you know how it goes!
