Three Small Things
Friday, February 12, 2010 at 4:11PM As those of us on Monday-Friday schedules move from the end of the workweek to the beginning of the weekend, I want to invite you to take a few moments, if you so choose, to think about how you can make this next week a wonderful one... a balanced, productive, fun week that is in line with the things that matter to you. To help inspire you, I'm asking you three questions about your plans for the next week. I'd love to hear your answer in the comments, and will post my own answer as well.
- What small thing will you do this weekend to take really good care of yourself?
- What small thing can you do this weekend that will make the entire next week easier and more productive?
- What small thing can you do that will bring joy to someone that you care about?
Have a wonderful weekend everyone!
Note: Three Small Things is a four-week series that will be posted each Friday, focused on questions about little things that can go a long ways to make the next week a great one. Hope you enjoy it!

This weekend, I will take the time for gentle exercise to care for my body, plan out my schedule for the next week in more detail than I've been doing to make the upcoming week more productive, and call my dad on his birthday :)
This was really creative! Good job! I don't have time to answer but I shall think of these while I am trying to get through the rest of our classmates blogs!
xo,
Miss B.
Thanks Miss B!
WOW! Just what I needed to think about. Its already saturday & i've been on the move all day. This is what I will do.
1. On Sunday night before going to bed, I will sit down calmly with my music and meditate for atleast half an hour. And i will do this before 11pm.
2. I will make a list of appointments I have, deadlines to meet and put down a plan to go about it. WOW. I'm feeling like its SO do-able. (And yes, please dont be shocked I can live for months on end with no schedule)
3. My mom has come home after almost 8 months & I want to make her a few yummy salads I just learnt how to make. This will really make her feel good I think :) Considering I didn't want to do anything with the kitchen 8 months back :)
These questions are right on target! Asking these questions every week is the best practice that can help anyone keep their life and time under control.
1. I will follow my meal plan and read/pray/meditate.
2. I will unsubscribe from blogs that do not inspire me or make me feel insignificant (whether that feeling is valid or not).
3. Hopefully doing #2 will allow me to focus more on the blogs and bloggers that I admire and respect. I want to leave more comments on those blogs, so they know what a positive impact they have on their readers.
Great job on your post! I know how hard it is to keep the text low in a post. That's my personal challenge, too. :)
Weekends has always been the perfect time to take a walk in the park with my little son. Also, it's a good time to read good books and making plans for the coming week. :-)
Thanks for commenting everyone! Hope that your weekends have been both productive and full of joy :)

Lovely blog you have here!
These questions you ask are very centering but don't demand a ton of effort.
My one answer to these questions is: stay away from social media and be in the present with my family. It's always a win for me when I do.
@Belinda - thanks! I am totally in agreement about the importance of family time.
